    Baby with american father
    Hi!
I'm in the US on a one year visa. If I have a baby with an american father which is born in the US, can I take it back to my home country when my visa expires? Do I need his permission? I doubt I'll be able to stay in the US and I'm concerned that I may be forced to leave and not be able to take the baby with me. Of course, he'd make a good father so it's not the end of the world, but still!

(The child would automatically get my citizenship by right of descent.)
Any answers or tips of where I can find information would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    AC

I have just seen a similar question here : https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/immigr...by-104254.html and I quote the answer in mine.

Basically if you give birth to the child in the US you are " having what is commonly referred to as an "anchor baby"; the US govt will not deport you because you are the parent of a minor US citizen, but you will not have the rights of a citizen. When the child becomes an adult, he/she can sponsor his/her parents for citizenship, provided laws have not changed by then. "

However in rare cases the mother can be deported.

I do not know if you can take the baby out, though if you are not married to the father I suspect that if you do not put his name on the birth certificate (ie: father unknown) then you would be able to take the baby with you. But I am no expert and I recommend you check this out thoroughly.
