    I want to declare bankruptcy.
    Will it erase all my debts or just some of them? I live in Ny state so can someone please just give me some info? Thanks!

    It all depends, it will not get rid of things normally like student debts, taxes, fines, and things like that.

    Of course are you talking about Chapter 7 or 13. It is much harder now than last year to file for bankruptcy. Your first visit to a bankruptcy attorney is normally free ( always ask) I would advice seeing one.
