    Relocate washing machine
Hi, I would like to relocate my washing machine from an interior room with a washer hookup to a large bedroom closet. The new washer site would be against a wall with bath/shower plumbing. I have no understanding of how plumbing works... before I mention anything to the husband, is it possible to utilize this existing plumbing for the washing machine? Thank you!

    Hi Lynnette,

"is it possible to utilize this existing plumbing for the washing machine?"

Yes it is if you tee off the washer trap and stand pipe from the lavatory vertical drain located in the wall and use it for a vent also. You may also supply hot and cold water from the lavatory supplies. Regards,Tom
