HI Joe, In the US the last Thursday in November is always celebrated as Thanksgiving. You probably knew this though, what I meant was that I have never heard of anyone doing it any other day. Unless personal reasons, work, out of State guests arriving another day, sickness, and so on.:) :)

Yes and ham, mashed potatoes, hot corn bread, real butter, hot corn, white wine, stuffing, fudge, and hot pumpkin pie!
Fireplace going, 20 candles burning and 12 good friends and family.
Whew.. I am soooo full, I swear I can't even move. I saw my shirt shrinking around me as I sat at the table.:) :) :)
Help me,

I guess some people thought that I was asking a silly question but I was being series. Here in Canada. Some people have 2 or 3 different family meals to go to. Some might be held on Monday. Some may have their dinner on a Saturday or Sunday. That is why I asked because here it is somewhat different and it all depends on the family. Honestly Stringer, I did not know that everybody has the meal on the exact day because we do not always do that here. Thank you Stringer for answering my question. I really do appreciated it.

No my friend, I didn't think you were being silly at all. I assumed that you didn't know but I wasn't sure what you did or did not know. Do me a favor Joe, whenever you may wonder about one of my responses please always give me the benefit of doubt. I consider you a friend and if you ever have a question as to how I meant something consider it on the positive side.

I was not wondering about your response at all, actually I was thankful to your response. It was me just thinking that maybe some people thought it was a silly question, that's all. I consider you a friend as well. I Never thought of it in a negative way at all and I am sorry if it came out that way. I truly am.

It didn't really Joe, just wanted to say that I don't want people to think I mean negative things when it was never my intention. Although I do sometimes enjoy taking a minor shot by all in good faith, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

We're good, it sure looks that way huh? Most of our guests have left and I will have to also soon. Two others are on their way, one had dinner at his boss' and he will be here and my neighbor who is a chef just got home and he will be stopping over in about 15 minutes.
See you later Joe.:)

Hello everyone, It is very snowy outside and slippery. It is going to be a long winter.
My husband was going to work but he was slipping and sliding so he decided to stay home with our sick baby and I.
Happy ThanksGiving to Americans!

Hi Capt, that 3 to 4 inches we were to get was about 1/8 inch... 2 miles north got about 5". Our little bit was gone by morning.
If Mr. Gore is correct... you just might get your wish..

In Sept '95 I moved to Florida. This is after 11 years in New Hampshire. Yes, the perfect storm was wicked!
The first winter here in sunny Fla, it froze hard, and snowed!
The guy's at work razzed me, "Y'all didn't have to bring it with ya!!"
I said, "Bullsh1t!! I moved 1500 miles south, only to find out you've got the same crap here!!" :p
