    Jump the 2-P Service Check Connector (SCC) with a paper clip, turn the ignition switch to ON, and count the flashes of the Check Engine Light. The SCC is often located under the dash, about 1" from the right kick panel. It's usually housed in a rubber mount--just pry it out with a small screwdriver.
