    Questions about adoption
I'm a canadian citizen that grew up in the states but I recently just moved back and now we have a family friend that would like to adopt me so I can get american papers. How does that work and how long does the whole process take?

What is your age ? You said you "grew up" in the states. If you are over 18, normally you can not be adopted.

If you are under 18, your canadian parents would have to be willing to sign over all rights to the adoptive parents and there would be home inspections and the such needed to show they can provide a good home and education for you

Why be adopted at this age? Are you looking for this because of citizenship?

Well kind of but if I'm going to be in the states why not, I was raised there and everything. Plus when I go back to indianapolis, I want to be able to work and get my driver's license , etc.
