Your therapist cannot divulge your counseling records to your husband unless you have given permission. It is a matter of confidentiality. Is this chronic shopping habit part of the reason for a pending divorce? Is your therapy court ordered or recommended? Does your husband want access to your counseling records? Do you have an attorney?

During the intervention I had to agree or go all this alone without my friends, I chose to keep the support of my friends, yes my additions have a role but my rel with husband is very emotionally abusing on both sides so needless to say its toxic here for me. Therapy was and hs been my choice I have been seeing here for a few months now.Yes he wants access to everything I have to close my bank accounts turn in my cell phone and close my po box or which are my tools to leave, now that won't be possible. I have no attorney no money I wasn't at that point yet, but was planning on moving out to get away from him.

Unless you give him permission to get your counseling records, he cannot. If he calls your therapist and asks, that therapist has to say no.

What should I be wary of if I sign the HIPPA waiver for my discrimination lawsuit?
