    Implantation bleeding?
I'm liz and a few days ago I started spotting a brownish discharge. It lasted for two days and now when ever I wipe a pinkish or brown discharge on the tissue. I've never had spotting before. But recently I have gotten mild head aches and slight nausea. I've had unprotected sex numerous times this month using the pull out method. I know it doesn't work but its too late to realize that now so. I'm supposed to get my period in a week which apparently is when you get implantation bleeding. Is this true. Do you think I am pregnant?

Implantation bleeding is not really medically defined and is rare anyway, wait a week and then test, that's about all you can do, but having unprotected sex, yes, there's a very real chance you may be pregnant, but don't stress about it, there's nothing you can do yet.

Please check out this sticky that explains it all.

Implantation bleeding is very rare and not scientifically proven. Just think, can something microscopic cause bleeding? The answer is no.

This may very well be your period early, we all get a strange period once in a while.

So, if you don't get your period next week, take a HPT using first morning urine, if that shows up negative, wait a week and test again.

You might be a "health expert" & I didn't say it was implantation bleeding. But I'm betting she is pregnant is what I meant because a lot of women get that when they first get pregnant. Or yes it could be the start. Periods are wacky.

Whoa, chill out. I never said anything against what you posted. Yes, I may be the health expert, but also a nursing student in my women's health and pediatric rotation in school and will be graduating in a few short months.

My answer did not reflect anything you said, but rather what the OP said.

Shamrick : because only half of it was correct
Care to discuss how I was only HALF correct?

I agree with J-9 implantation is very rare and only occurs in about 1% of pregnancies. The only way to know for sure is to make an appt with the doctor and take a blood test.

Is spotting for 11 days indicitive of implantation bleeding or is that too long? I had my period from Dec. 4th - 11th, and started the spotting on the 22nd.
