    Pay requirement
    If some one works there 40hrs and there on the schedule for 48hrs should the extra 8hrs be paid like time and a half? Or just the regular pay?

    It depends on where they work and the agreements they made with their boss. Usually overtime is paid extra but some places it's not, it's not "legally" required, though, I don't believe.

    Ask other employees, look over any paperwork you got when you were hired and find out if they do overtime pay or not. You may also have to claim it as overtime first? Good luck!
