What type of fixture are you working on toilet, sink, floor drain? Usually you just pour water down the drain and it fills the trap to over flowing.

You question makes no sense. Every fixture in a shopping center has a "P" trap. Could you be asking about a running trap that installs on a sewer line after it leaves the center. If not then rephrase the question with more details. Regards, Tom

There should not be a p trap for a commercial suite. A p trap is for individual fixtures. If you have a hidden floor drain then whoever installed it may have to find it. Are you having an odor problem?
