    Credit card debt
We have 140k in credit card debt -have made deals with many cards to lower interest & pmts but WAMU will not deal with us and have given it to debt collection a $17,000 has risen to $18,000 in a matter of a few months, they charge me more in int & penalties than I pay each month ($520) how can I get out under this and how long do I have before they sue? Any help would be appreciated

    Hello Scand,

Although I have never dealt with WAMU, Everything I have heard about them has been bad, Interest and penalites for late payments is what the cc companies depend on. 140k
Is a lot of cc debt you may need to talk to a bk attorney to see what your options are before things get any worse.

Well of course the true and real issue is 140 in credit card debt that you made and now can not pay the min payments on. Once some cards like wamu get late, they greatly increase the interest and more. At that point and time it gets harder and harder to pay. Now of course if they don't want to "deal" all you can do is pay according to their terms. Or consder bankruptcy.
