Has this happened to anyone's cat? Wheezing and limp limbs?
Hi- I was wondering if you guys can help me. My cat recently passed on, but I'm really confused. He was staying with my uncle while we were on vacation and we noticed his breathing was a little faster than normal, but other than that he was fine. Then it seemed like he was getting better. He was perfectly fine the night before, then all of a sudden at 1am he starts breathing fast and then wheezing. One of his front legs went limp and he couldn't breathe. Do you guys know what might have caused this? Or has anyone experienced the same thing? Some say maybe stroke or heart attack? He was 12 and had no major health problems other than the occasional urinary tract infection. Thanks

I seriously agree with whom ever said it could have been a stroke or heart attack. Shortness of breath, weakness in the legs. It's a sign of heart attack but it could easily have been a sign of "old age death" since the cat was 12 years old. Either way may your cat have an undisturbed rest and may your heart not be troubled.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Would it still be a stroke or heart attack if only one leg went limp? And would it be that sudden even though he was normal just hours before? Thanks for your response.
