I have the same delimma with my 2 yr old daughter. When she wants something she cries. When she doesn't want something she cries. Every night she cries and whines. She is fine with other people, so I wonder, is it me? What am I doing wrong? I have yet to figure that out. So I would like to know too, how to make her stop whining all the time.

Both of you are crazy. Two year olds cry that's what babies do. DUH. If you didn't want crying don't have kids. However, I just ignore mine or put him in his room shut the door and let him walk out on his own. He stops but if its uncontrolable ill hold my son close to me and let him kick and yell and cry and fill me with tears not only does he stop after 5 min. but he is so tired that he kisses me on my cheek and pats my head while falling asleep. The next mornin or after his nap everything is great. You have to let him cry don't give in. It's the best thing for the long run.

Kids learn very young how to get what they want. If crying gets your attention - then that is what they will do.
When my daughter was younger and would have crying times - I would put her in a crying corner. Just a designated corner of our house. I could see her and she could see me. I would tell her that if she wanted to cry - fine, she would have to do it in the crying corner. When she was done - she could come out.
It worked.

I don't mean crazy literally sorry that's just how I talk I haven't learned computer talk yet but yeah maybe except my son was born to a mother who is a stripper and smoked crack. My son was healthy is still healthy but she is always leaving for days at a time to get high. My son is confused and angry and hurting so I let him take it out on me I guess while I hold him and tell him its OK we love you we are here it's a crazy world you're dealing with a lot of pain release your tears kind of thing. I just got back into his life. She has been on the run with him, was arrested, I was called a few weeks ago. I had him for the first 6 months she disappeared the popped back up demanding him I called the cops they made me give him to her etc... so I guess it's a little different.
