    Hampton Bay Fans
Have a client whose fan and light comes on every now and then by itself. It is remote control and I suspect it is getting a signal from elsewhere. Tried to change the code but could not find the switch pad in the fan. It is the sidewinder model about ten years old. Anyone know where it is located?

It is in one of three places, either on top of the motor, in the ceiling canopy, or inside the switch housing near the lights.

Noisey Hampton Bay Fans [ 4 Answers ]

I purchased and installed four Hampton Bay fans. Two of the fans make a terrible rattling noise when they are on high speed and occasionally when they are on medium speed. The other two, seem to be fine at all speeds. The model of the fans is the Redington IV. Any suggestion?
