    Mixing valve reversed
    Hi,

Just completed converting a bathtub to a shower, the new mixing valve for some reason has the hot and cold waters reversed, any suggestions how to fix this, the sink was removed during the remodel and is reversed also but I can just swap the h and c off the faucet knobs, not sure what to do with the shower though...

Nope, just cold... I was thinking that the handle was slipped on incorrectly causing the h/c to be switched?

If your shower valve's a Moen the repair is a simple one. Remove the handle and rotate the cartridge 180 degrees. Reassemble and try it now. If not we need the name of the valve. Regards, Tom

Can someone provide a few tips for how you support a shower mixing valve in the wall when you've used PEX? On previous showers that I've put in, the copper pipes strapped to a block in the wall was more than enough. This time I can't quite seem to find a decent way to do this. Thanks.

Removing shower mixing valve handles [ 2 Answers ]

I have an unknown brand two handle mixing valve in my shower. The handles do not have screws or allen screws to hold them on. There is a 3/8 inch slot in the handle perpendicular to the stem which looks like you can insert a screwdriver blade to release the handle but I'm not having any luck. I...

Mixing valve tub/shower with no cold water [ 1 Answers ]

I'm flummoxed with a Delta, mid-1990's mixing valve. The valve has shut-off's via screw and locknut on cold and hot inlets, and I have good pressure there at both hot and cold side. But an inch-or-so away, at the main body holding the cartridge (I don't know the terminology, sorry), no cold...

Water Circulates Through Mixing Valve [ 2 Answers ]

I've installed a Kohler Thermostatic Mixing Valve with Volume Control (K-404) in my shower construction project and just noticed that the hot water is circulating up through the valve and then back down the cold pipe! Yikes- this puts water from the hot water heater into the drinking water and...
