    Vibrating water pipes
    I recently replaced a leaking fill valve on one of my commodes. Every since then, whenever a water source is opened such as a faucet or toilete flush, the water pipes start vibrating and making a low pitch sound. If a second water source is turned on at the same time, the vibrating stops. My house is 2.5 years old. Thanks for any help!

    Have someone help you, have them open a faucet while you are at the commode where you replaced the valve and you have the tank lid off, if when the water noise starts lift the valve in the commode and see if the noise stops, if it does that means that something needs to be done to the valve.

    Also make sure the supply stop is all the way open I have had that problem before also try adjusting the fill valve and doing what letmetellu said

    All three of my commodes vibrate when flushed. I tried reinstalling the new fill valve on the one commode. Didn't work. Vibration also happens when the faucets are opened. The viration stops when a second facuet is opened. Another thing is the water pressure is higher for the first couple of seconds when a faucet is opened. I even shut off the water supply to the commode where the new fill valve was installed. Still doesn't solve problem.

    I also tried turning off the main water supply to the house then bleeding my system. No problem on the first flush. But it started again on the second flush.

    If you can acess your water pipe in the celing, attic, basment , or crawl check to make sure they did not come undone if so strap them back up with nail clamps...

    Second thing I am not saying this will work but you can give it a shot you may have a case of thermal expansion check to see if you have a thermal expansion tank on your house... because when you have more pressure at the start then less as it run it sound like you may have a case of that... do you know how to check for thermal expansion... my be you should ask speedball1 on this
