Moms a disaster, house so messy.
I am probably the only person in the house that does any sort of cleaning/dishes/laundry.
Well I have three boys in the house and my mom.
I can't do all the work and my mom doesn't really do much but she's always on the computer all the time and Im always out busy.
The house smells like dogs because my mom has a few and it's just gross.
I have all wood walls and my dad stained them really dark which I don't like much at all and also stained the floors white. Not to mention he didn't even finish all the walls so some are light wood and some are dark wood.
I hate it. What should I do? Help!

Are you living in her house or she in yours? If she is living with you then it is time to set ground rules and make her live up to them. If you live with her - start apartment shopping.

Im living in hers, and I don't have the money to do that right now. But she isn't very independent.. she sits at home a lot, doesn't work. Doesn't clean much. And she's always on the computer working on this "power mall" thing that I don't think will even get her far.

She is too lazy to go buy candles or even hire someone to pottytrain her dogs.

    It's becoming overwhelming, help!!

Is it your house or hers? If it's yours, nicely and tactfully tell your mom that the time has come to set some rules. Tell her that it is your house, and that the dogs must be potty trained, taken outside, or gotten rid of. Tell her you expect her to do her share of the dishes, laundry, cleaning, etc. If she isn't willing to do any of this, you will have to decide if it's worth it to allow her to continue living there. Depending on the situation, you may want to suggest that she find accommodations elsewhere. If it's her house, you don't have a lot of options. Although she should be taking better care of her home, if she is the owner then that is her choice. If it's her house, consider looking for a new place. If you're a single mom, see if you qualify for government assistance. Maybe you could find a roommate who is OK with kids, or maybe you and a friend can set up house together. If you want to keep everyone living where they are, just try to do "damage control" when it comes to cleaning. Delegate age appropriate chores to your kids. Consider putting the dogs outside (if weather permits) or see if the kids can help take them for walks. I am in the same boat right now with one of my roommates. I understand how frustrating it is!! Give me some more info, maybe I can help.

Her body could feel ill and her not even realize it, plus she most probably has no motivation to do anything. The smell and mess are probably making her feel sluggish and all. I know the messier my house the less I feel any ambition. If you are paying the cable bill try shutting it off to force her to get away from it and find something else to do. Also what would happen if you give the house one good cleaning and then keep on her to keep it that way?
One of you might just have to move so you don't have to deal with it.
