Foundation for Retin A user
I use Retin A at night and also use a good night cream. I use a moisturizer in the morning. I used Clinique foundation and all was good. Now Clinique has stopped making the foundation I have used for over 20 years. They tell me the new foundations are much better. No matter what brand I use, all new foundations seem to sit on top of my skin. They don't blend in and they seem to highlight the small peels or flakes that are invisible to the naked eye. Does anyone know a brand of foundation that I can try that may help? I get lots of advice how to apply foundation, I don't need that, I need name brands. Thank you!:o

Can you buy the foundation they cancelled off eBay in bulk? I know it's not the subject, but I know how frustrating it can be to find a foundation that doesn't show little skin flakes, I have dry skin as well and it's a nightmare!

You think like me. Yes, I keep checking but then I also realize that one day I will need to move on. I think they use some sort of very fine fine powder now that sits in all the little creases to accent them. Maybe I should try a cheap drugstore brand.

If you've used all different brands of foundations, and they didn't blend into your skin, then your skin is definitely dry. Foundations should blend perfectly into your skin. But when your skin is dry, foundations will sit on your skin. Make sure to exfoliate your skin with a mild scrub twice a week, and apply a moisturizer before applying your foundation. This will allow your foundation to blend into your skin smoothly. Also, you should rub in circular motions, it helps the foundation absorb and blend more quick.

Thank you, I do agree with you. However I do do all that as I stated in my original question. I exfoliate as often as I need to. Retin-A does dry my skin out but it is the constant minute peeling that no one can see until the foundation magnifies it. I was trying to find a person who has had the same problem or knows of someone with the same problem that has found a solution. All I get is advice on how to treat my skin, which I do very well. I need to know of a type of foundation that works well with Retin A.

I've used maybelline dream matte mousse foundation, and that is the only one so far that hides the little flakes, you should try it!

Hey, you know what! There was one thing I did not try before I got all "I already did that stuff" type of answer. I did not do the circular motions! That really helps! Thank you PrettyLady! I wonder why that makes a difference.
