    Waiting patientlly or impatientlly
When is the time right? I have been dating and living with my boyfriend for just about 2 years. We share everything, money, cars, bills. And I love him more then anyone. Hes my best friend, we talk about kids, marriage the whole 9 yards. When will he propose? He just turned 28. He talks about kids, and wanting them, just as bad as me, but he says he wants to do things "right." Which I completely understand, but I'm impatient. I know he loves me unconditionally... but what's stopping him from poping the question? ANY IDEAS?

You could try asking him something like "Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?" Maybe that will give you an idea of the timeline he has. It sounds like he really likes and respects you if he has already said he wants kids and to get married to you. Maybe he wants to wait until he has money to have a nice wedding or to buy you a nice ring. Also, maybe he just isn't ready to do that right now, although he wants to in the future. You could have a friend ask him, "So when are you guys going to get married?" I would just sit down and have a talk with him. Don't pressure him, just try to feel him out on the subject. My boyfriend just proposed a month ago! I was wondering when he was going to get around to it too! He was waiting until he started a better job and bought me a ring. We want to have a nice wedding, but we are going to have to save up for a little while. I hope he asks you soon! :)

What's your financial position like? What's his like? Do your families approve of the two of you? Maybe he's wants to be able to have the money to buy you a nice ring and have that dream wedding.

I dated someone for 2 1/2 years and he finally proposed.. I thought he'd never ask. After the fact though, we didn't pick a date and I personally felt a lot of pressure from other people wanting to know when it was going to happen. I'd let him know where you stand on the issue. Getting married doesn't really change anything but your last name.

Good luck, I hope he is saving for the big ring :)

Thanks for the comments, I need to relax, I had a long talk with my boyfriend, and I'm happy with the outcome for now, I don't want to rush things, we have all the time in the world. Right now, we own a house together, and we are working on becoming financially stable. We would love to have kids, and get married soon but right now we are working on making our home. I don't need a fancy ring or wedding, as long as I know, that we have each other is fine in my book<3

Well your huge debts and drug habit coupled with his sneaky porn watching I don't think you're exactly ready for such a big commitment!

Sorry, couldn't resist! :D Ha ha!
