Just so you all know, I am taking a brief break, will peak in here and there, but got a BIG test to study for, no time to study as I had clinical yesterday, class today, clinical tomorrow, Little J's soccer game on Saturday afternoon, Little J's pizza party and bowling Saturday night, Rae's birthday party on Sunday and test on Monday.

Please keep everyone in line for me. I don't want Ben to ban me again. LOL

I am love, I am. This may just be another close call as we had a 160 slide powerpoint on the musculoskeletal system and there was NO lecture due to a family emergency of the instructor who was going to lecture.

So, all of us in class are preparing to get low scores. But I'm still safe if I get anywhere in the 70% range, just can't get lower than that or will really have to get a high score on the final. As it sits right now I only have to get a 50% on the final to pass.

(We have to have an 80% overall, including all 6 tests and the final). So, I'm still sitting pretty. Well, back to Pediatric Nursing Made Incredibly Easy questions.

Gosh Start... that sounds wonderful. The hospital food was yucky as usual, but I was not that hungry anyway. I spend most of my time in the basement smoking lounge. Met some nice people there, if you can call a bunch of sick people 'nice'. The hospital was over crowded because three other hospital in the area were all full and they sent their 'surplus' here.

The cytology report was in... advanced adenocarcinoma and already in lymphnodes too. So.. when I said thanks and can I go, the doc was upset because he was sure that he could cut and do some chemo just to keep me there a little longer. I told him that's not my style and that I want to spend the time I have left enjoying my family and friends, my cat, my LIFE, and that did not entail being in a hospital bed having unsuccessful treatment done to keep me doped up and alive just so that they get paid.. I talked to a few clinician friends in radiology and anesthesiology, my daughter also came for a talk with the doc, and I told him what my choice was. His bedside manner was nasty after that, but I'm home now and cleaning up, making plans to visit people and do the beurocratic crap that's necessary. I actually look forward to having a good time for as long as I can. I even had the option to choose what meds I want because I told them no Morphine and no Tramal - two mind killers and puckendorsers. I'm doing OK and still have a clear head for now. The conceited idiot did not even want to tell me what stage I have right now, but he had to . He's just upset that he could not talk me into being a normal obedient german patient that thinks doctors are Gods. So now, I'm busy checking out what life insurance I have, looking for my roots on my father's side in Kentucky, and looking for my ex-husband to let him know he's a grandfather if he has not OD'd already somewhere. Rick_J has offered help in that direction and I hope he's successful.

Right now I'm taking paracetamol with codeine (also a type of morphiate, but does not make me sick)and it feels wonderful not having any pain for a change.and I'm enjoying my Sci-Fi evening on TV, stargate, heroes, and battlestar galactica. But I had to come on in here and give you all a follow-up and let you know I'll be here for as long as I can, but am also going to raise some hell in this part of the world.

Love and kisses to you all, and C.U. on the forum.

It's amazing what you think about when you get told you don't have much time left. I wrote a 20 page diary, a to do list, and a wish list. Plus a list of pros and cons against therapy to prolong quantity versus quality - Boy and I'm full of ideas right now. Even have a few people on a revenge list - that will be fun (ha ha)

Blimey what a few days you have had, Im speachless to be honest on a purely selfish note too I don't want you to not be here.
But I do see your point and I couldn't agree with you more why on earth should you waste time laying in hospital beds when there is so much left to do.
Well if there is anything any of us can do you know you only have to ask right if we can we will there's no doubt about that.
    We love you hunny xxx

Thanks CBW, I still have, according to the doctor if I don't let him cut.. 9-12 months, but I plan on staying a little longer if possible. I'll let you all know. And you know as long as I've got net access, I will be here almost every day when I'm not out with Jaime and Alexander.

I'm attaching a picture of when I was still able to enjoy myself so that you can remember me this way. OOPS, have to send it later, it's too large, so sending you one of me holding my cat - he's just where he always loves to be..

Even afterwards, I'll be around, because I believe in 'spooking' and sending love, no matter where I am..

    OK, now it worked.

Going to take a nap now - got some cool meds that help me relax without too much pain.
