    Menstruating dog?
    Hey guys, I have a dog, I'm not sure her type. Right now she's on her period, and she's bleeding all over the house, what can I use so she don't drip all over the floor? (eg, diapers) or something like that. Keep the awnsers coming!

    Some pet stores as well as online pet suppliers sell doggie pads that come with a panty

    Keep her contained in areas that are easily cleanable (floors you can bleach, etc.) You can buy cheap white towels from, say, Wal-Mart that you can use bleach on in the washing machine to lay on furniture if you don't wish to deprive her of comfortable places she likes to be. If you let her outside at all, make certain not only that she cannot escape (jump over, climb or dig under a fence), but stray males can't break in or you will have an unwanted litter, even if she's young (I've known es who were impregnated as young as 7 months).

    I guess I missed this since it was posted in Zoology. She should be about done now. Wait until the swelling goes down before bathing her or letting her swim. I do hope you managed not to let her get bred. Please have her spayed. The vet may want to wait at least another month. Put it off too long, and it will be April and you will be going through the whole mess and hassle again.

    Too bad danielandnoahsmom didn't report a post in the wrong forum. Other people knowing more about dogs could have given you more help if we saw it.
