    Sub panel
I am installing a sub panel in my shop which is approx. 80 foot from the main panel. I used 8 gauge wire to the shop. I think I bought the wrong sub panel but I am not sure. The lights and everything works great but I put a 40 amp in it for my radial saw and it runs very slow. My question is what is the correct hook up for the wire coming in the sub panel. There are 2 bus bars and nowhere to hook the neutral (white). One is for the black(hot wire and one is for the ground. Do I have the right sub panel for the shop?? Thanks for any help.

A make and model number of the panel would help, a picture would be great. Also need the horsepower of the saw.
