Hair coloring.clairol loving care vs beautiful browns
I was told that both 'loving care' and 'beautiful browns' by clairol do not contain the ingredient "PPD" which I had an allergic reaction to. Loving Care conly lasts 6-12 shampoos. Can someone tell me how clairol's 'beautiful collection'(medium ash brown) is different and if it's 'better' in any way? I would rather not have to apply it every week but don't want any bad reactions to it either. Thanks

Clairol Loving Care and Clairol Beautiful Collection are both semi-permanent colors that washes out each time you shampoo your hair. Semi-permanent colors are safer to use than permanent colors. If you are allergic to the substance "PPD", you should call Clairol to find out if their Clairol Beautiful Collection contains "PPD" or not. Good luck.

I don't know why you misused the rating system and disagreed with my answer. I tried to explain to you that Clairol Loving Care and Clairol Beautiful Collection are semi-permanent colors that washes out with shampoo. Therefore, there's not much of a difference between the two hair coloring products in terms of staying power. If you are thinking of using Clairol Beautiful Collection, you should find out whether if it contains PPD since you are allergic to this ingredient.

You can check the cosmetics database here http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/wordsearch.php?query=clairol+loving+care+medium+br own
or the good guide website http://www.goodguide.com/products/207384-clairol-natural-instincts-loving-care-medium-redd
They both get good ratings. Loving care rates better than my shampoo for safety!
