    Possible pregnancy?
 Hello there. I am 18 years old and have been on the pill for over a year and a half now. However several months ago I missed one pill or so. So I have had nearly perfect use. If my boyfriend and I don't use a condom when having sex, he always pulls out well before even the pumps from pre-. However, last night we had sex once.. pulled out. We usually use a condom the second time for sex, but one wasn't available. He still pulled out well before precum like usual yet I'm afraid of existing semen on penis.. though I think I cleaned it off pretty well. Should I be worried of pregnancy, even though I'm on the pill? If so, I can use Plan B. Thank you for your help.

First off... pre-ejaculate can be released without the man or woman even knowing or feeling it.

Secondly if you are not taking the birth control pills on time, or skipping days, you need to use backup protection.

Even if you take birth control as prescribed, they are only about 97% effective against pregnancy... trust me I know, I have a 5 year old daughter that was conceived while I was on the pill.

The only thing you really can do is wait as this point. While the chances are very low that you are pregnant, there is always a chance. I would venture to say that you are not pregnant... but really all you can do is wait until you are due for your next period to know for sure.

Not sure why you are using the pill as well as withdrawal method?? I think I have answered something like this before... anyway.

I think you are fine-as in unlikely to be pregnant.

Xrayman--I got pregnant using the pill, a condom, a spermacide AND the pull-out method. And before you ask, YES, we were using them correctly! I was PARANOID about getting pregnant (with good reason, it seems).

To the OP--if you're having sex, there's a chance you could be pregnant. However, I'd say your chances are pretty low this time.

Don't take the chance next time. If you're not ready to have kids, make sure you take every precaution you can, every time.

Synnen. You must be an exception to the rule! Were you using the mini-pill or full dosage pill?-even with a condom, the possibility seems so remote, but oh well you must be able to get pregnant just thinking about it!! Fertile or what!

I too, got pregnant while on the pill... took it the same time everyday... never missed a pill... even when I was having pregnancy symptoms like morning sickness I went into my doctor stating that I thought I had food poisoning. They asked could I be pregnant and I said "nope, I'm on the pill"... well low and behold my daughter will be 6 this December.

Actually... I'm struggling with infertility now.

Maybe HE was the fertile one!

That was 17 years ago, though... I'm not sure which pill it was offhand. I did go to a doctor for it, and was prescribed to me. At the same time I made him go through OTHER birth control methods that could be used at the same time.

Believe it or not... it was the second time I ever had sex, too.

So again... it's possible for ANY birth control to fail.

Me too! I am one my first round of Clomid.

My OBGYN said it is possible for people to have different levels of fertility, and that sometime 2 people can be fertile, but together they are very fertile. She said also that some people can ber "super fertile" (as she put it)... so this could be the case with my daughters father... he was just super fertile!
