    Signature dryer not heating
I have a signature dryer model mde216rbw0 serial number xd44264913 that does not heat. It will run but doesn't heat up. I have managed to open the top and the back vent panel but am not sure where the parts I need to check are located. This is an electric dryer and I have already reset the breaker to make sure that is not the problem.

Thank you for any help and direction you can give me.

Check the heating element and the thermostats for continuity. Pull 1 lead of each before testing. If no continuity on any component, replace. If you have no tester, You can put a jumper wire oround the thermostats to test and you can look at the element to see if it is glowing. As well, make sure your vent hose is clean and remove the blower housing and clean it free from lint cloggs.

Thank you for the info, can you tell where the thermostat and element are located? Are they near the motor? Just need a little guidance for where to look before I take it all apart. Thanks!

Open the back up and the element will be inside a silver color housing. The thermostats will be on the outside of that housing as well. I believe on that model you will find 2 thermostats.
