Well last year we had a problem with some of our drains.. If u did dishes all the extra food that went down the drain would end up in the shower... it would make a bubbling noise.. the toilet wouldn't flush... and if it did it would bubble in the bathroom sink with water coming out of the drain I do not want these problems this year.. we tried an electric snake and ran it down the bathroom drain and nothing also tried an ogger to see if tree roots were causing this and of course a waste of our money and time.. any suggestion on what is going on here? Help

Are you sure it's a sewer and not a septic tank/septic field?

We have a septic tank/leach field at my house and had this same problem. We had to pay someone to come and empty our septic tank and then snake the line out so it would stop bubbling up all the drains.

The bubbling may be an indicator that the vent stack has a blockage. The vent is also one of the best places to rod out a sewer line if you can safely work from your roof. You definitely have some blochage and gave it two tries so far. I'd try rodding from the vent and if that doesn't fix the issue call a plumber. Is there a clean out in your basement or crawl?

Well this only happens when its really cold outside I also forgot to say that we had roter rooter come out and power press the line that helped for like 2 days lol... I also forgot to mention if you take a shower for more than three minutes it won't drain and all I have is a shower stall so you have to take a really fast shower lol.. I have city water and I've called them before and they say its not there prob...

If Roto Rooter did the job and it only worked for 2 days I'd call them back. They did not fully get to the problem. They may have pushed it down stream a few feet or just partially opened the line. Don't call the city water dept. unless water and sewer are the same dept in your town. If water and sewer are separate call the sewer dept but it is more common for the two to be combined. The city sewer responsibility starts at the riser out at the street where your pipe enters their larger sewer pipe. Clogs often occur right at that connection and its still your responsibility.

Water and sewer are the same here in my town... I never paid the bill to roter rooter since they never came back its 400 an hour to power press they just never called back.. so I never paid... I don't know ill try doing all of these things and see if it helps but I can't do it until the problem starts you never know it may not happen this year lol hopefully I'm that luck thanks for everything
