Do you have a court order for child support?

If so, you need to contact the child support enforcement agency to see why you haven't received any payments.

If you don't, you need to file for it.

Ok still don't know if you have a court order...

Did you and the other parent agree to custody, visitation, and child support ON YOUR OWN... or was it COURT ORDERED... did you go to court and have child support set up??

Then go back to court. The other parent is in contempt of court by not paying. This person's pay can and should be garnished so that you get the amount set up by the judge.

Ok... well since child support is court ordered you need to contact your local child support office that is handling your case. Right now this person is in contempt of a court order. There are many things child support can do... in Ohio, my case worker suspended my daughters fathers drivers license numerous times... and most recently he was taken to court for contempt and found guilty.

You can't just sit around and wait for the money to come... you need to take action if you want something to happen... I know it sucks, but you are just one out of thousands of child support orders... you can easily fall through the cracks unless you start being proactive!
