    Lawn Chief riding lawn mower
Does anyone know if there is some kind of online manual or diagram showing how to put together different areas of a lawn chief riding mower?

We have an older model we're fixing up... just wondering if there's any display or step-by-step instructions w/ pictures online... thanks!

Check with MTD about the Lawn Chief unit. They have parts and diagrams available if you can supply the model of the unit.

MTD has been in business for over 75 years making outdoor power equipment. Yardman, Yard Machines, Bolens, Troy Bilt, Cub Cadet, and lots of private label brands. Lawn Chief is a brand that MTD acquired years ago, they still have some parts and drawings available.

Yes, mtd found out long ago the best way to compete with your competition is to buy them out, and in many cases have done so. Also, mtd has ruined a lot of the reputation that the older original manufacturers had earned. Take troybilt for instance. Used to be a great piece of equipment, now the units mtd has manufactured, well keeps the doors of a lot of shops open and the lights turned on. Cause anytime, anytime you stop by our shop, mtd products out number others in need of repairs. They have gone to a quantity instead of quality manufacturing.

MTD sells more units than anyone else, stands to reason a shop would have more of them. Over the last few years, with the emergence of the Home Depots, Lowe's, and Walmarts all fighting for the power equipment dollar, MTD like everyone else including John Deere has had to try to stay competitive. Gardenway (makers of old Troy Bilt) went bankrupt because they couldn't adjust. Who would have thought you would ever see Deere units being sold at discount prices at Home Depot? Combine incredible leverage of the few remaining large retail outlets with the huge increases in steel prices over the last few years, and you have manufacturers doing the only thing they can to continue to sell a rider for 749 bucks. Have to cut down on steel, and make a cheaper mower. MTD and Deere still have the premium units, but you can't get those for 750 bucks.
