    Convicted Felon Hunting
In the state of Georgia, is it illegal for a convicted felon to hunt with a "compound bow"?

CONVICTED FELONS: may not possess any firearm while hunting unless that individual's right to carry has been restored (OCGA 16-11-13). This does not apply to archery equipment.

I'd suggest when applying for the hunting license, however, the felon consults the person selling the license and their legal advisor/probation officer/parole officer to determine there are no additional restrictions they personally must follow.

You can read through the following post - although it pertains to firearms, but there is a section on provisions for a permit.

Now here is a site from Georgia Outdoors - according to the information, you can bowhunt - Welcome to Georgia Outdoors.Com
