    Child visitation
    Does anyone know a fathers rights as far as visitation. He pays child support, but no visitation was ever set up becuause he was a resided with his X girlfreind at the time. Now that he has left her, she will not let him see his son. Does anyone know where he should start? Please let me know, we are desperate!

    The only thing he can do is go to the court in your area and file a motion for visitation... farely simple really.

    Wow! Pretty simple as I have experienced a similar situtaion since becoming involved and marrying my husband. The non custodial parent needs to either prepare tp pay for an attorney or visit his local Superior Court requesting visitation. The courts has forms that he can complete and just pay the filing fee ($60.00-100.00) but it's well worth it. He can also contact the Office of Child Support Enforcement (considering that he does pay) and seek guidance from them re: his visitation rights as he definitely has them. The last resort which is also cost efficient is online assistance (GOOGLE) in whatever he needs such as Visitation rights and forms in whatever state you all reside. Be sure to have the custodial parents address and document all the time that he has NOT been able to visit with the child. Etc

    Unless there is a question of abuse, then a parent has rights to see their child. Too often, however, the child is used to get back at the parent, epsecially when that parent has left the home.

    However, to force the right to visit means going to court. The court will order a visitation schedule.

    My husband is going through this now. We went down to courts and filed for modification of visitations, has her served and await court date
