Buying a house where someone die in it.
I'm just curious what everyone thinks, would you buy a house where someone committed suicide?

Um, why would someone tell you that someone died in the house?
But that's digressing from the point, I guess so it doesn't really matter if someone killed themselves in the house, I mean its not presumably related to the house itself, so if it's a nice house otherwise and you can afford it, why not.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you like it, don't let that stop you. If it really bothers you and you are religious, you could ask a religious leader to bless the house first. I would buy it if I liked it.

Anytime I look at a house I always ask if a person died in it. I heard that the realtor has to disclose it. Me personally I believe in ghost, spirits etc... I figure that their souls may not be at rest. There are to many houses on the market for me to have to tell a dead person to go to the light. A place where someone that took their own life, I would definitely pass on that one.

I am with bushg on this. I would not buy a home that someone committed suicide in. Unless you can ask your priest or pastor or Rabbi to come and bless the home. Even then, there could still be movement in the home. Of course, Sylvia Browne would tell you to just say, as bushg stated, to the spirit, "go to the light."

Thank you all for the advice! Yes the house is very nice with huge potential, and I really like it, however the only concern I have right now is the disclose of the fact that the previous owner committed suicide in it. Am not a ghost or spirit believer but it does freak me out some. Right now am 50/50.
