What's frozen? Are you attempting to remove the handle and can't or won't the handle turn the valve at all. What brand name shower valve do you have? How old? Regards, Tom

The middle shower handle will not turn at all... not sure of brand, I am sure it is original to the house. Could this just be hard water build up?

The center knob is the diverter,(see image). Remove the handle and cover and find a large nut on the stem. This nut secures the stem and washer assembly, ( that's what's stuck). Unscrew the nut and squirt some WD-40 in the opening to loosed it up. Now put the handle back on and see if you can back the stem and washer assembly out counter clockwise. Clean and lube the threads and reinstall. Work easier now? Tom
