Hi there could you please help me with this questions, struggling here.

A harbour experiences a tidal change in water level at port between 4 metres and 8 metres. The peiod of successive low tides is about 12 hours. If a boat has a draught of 2.5 metres when empty and 6 metres when full (and the entry and exit from the harbour is effectively instantaneous) what proprtion of the day can a boat leave or arrive safely whule fully loaded?

    Thanks
