    Why are my periods so off?
    When I first got my period I was around 13 or 14 years old. It was very heavy and lasted for about 5 days. My period came every month around the same day, was just as heavy and lasted just as long. This only lasted for about 3 months. Then I didn't have a period for about a year. When they finally started to come back they are very very light. I am 20years old now and my periods never come on time and haven't ever sense they started to come back when I was 15. Not only do they never come on time, some months I don't have a period at all, and to top that off they are very very light but last over a week. I was wondering what in the world is going on. I am very confused and I just want to know if something's wrong and what should I do?

    Are you on birth control? Sometimes irregular periods can be caused when your body is getting used to the birth control. At least, that's what it was when it happened to me. Have you seen a doctor for a pelvic exam/pap smear? You should do it every year. There are many reasons for irregular periods. You won't know what it is without a medical opinion. If money is an issue, you can contact Planned Parenthood or look for other organizations that might help you for free or at a reduced rate. I live in Indiana, and from time to time, there are free women's health screenings offered. You might want to look into that. You can probably find out about them on the internet. You really should go because if there is something wrong, it is always better to catch it early. You will feel much better after you get a doctor's opinion. Pap tests and pelvic exams aren't pleasant, but they aren't too bad. Just another thing that goes along with being a woman, like periods and PMS. :) Hope that helps.

    Some people I believe just have irregular periods.
    How about you try some brith control;
    Doctors give it to you to regulate periods all the time.
    If your that worried about it.
    Me personally hate periods !
    Lol
    But that's being a girl;
