    Linoleum bubbling
    Hello,

We moved into our house ~2 1/2 years ago. Last summer our linoleum in our kitchen started to bubble in areas- as if the glue had lifted and the linoleum was lifting off the floor. I am wondering if there is any way to repair this without obviously lifting the whole floor? I am new to do it yourself, so precise instructions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

It does sound like you adhesive has failed. Not many things you can do without taking up the floor and chances are good it will tear. Since the floor is not easily repaired you could try a little experimenting. I'd get a large bore syringe like the ones that come with the ink cartridge refill kits. Fill it with a thin household glue and inject it through the flooring at a 45 degree angle. You want to feel your way through the flooring but not into the sub floor. Put a heavy object or bag of sand on this spot for a day or two. It might work, what do you have to loss?

Also after you have injected the glue press the area down with a rag working back toward the injection site the less air you have under there the better the glue will adhere. Also try to insert the needle along a printed grout line the slight punctere will be less visible. If that doesn't work I think replacement is your only option. GOOD LUCK, AC

Does this happen when the heating and air comes on. You may have air coming from the vent that is getting under the floor and making the bubbles.

My group is heading to burning man and will be putting up a stage for classes (yoga, dance) and we wanted to know where we could get some used/cheap linoleum flooring that would be used probably only once because of the playa acidity? We would also need to know how to connect the pieces so they...
