    Internet Disconnection
    I have a new Dell computer with Vista Operating System. When I am on the internet, I keep getting bumped off by the message. That windows is configuring updates. Please let me know what I need to do, to stop this from happening... Thanks

    Hi Scott,

    Sadly I still have dial up connection to the internet, as high speed connections are still not available in my area. I hope this info helps you in giving me the answer to my original question as why I keep losing connection to internet, when my windows updates take place. Thanks again, Medi

    Does it happen ONLY when windows update is running? While it's running, do you still use the computer, or do you start eh updates and just let it go?

    It might be disconnecting because it dosen't think you're using the connection.

    Dialup to who? Do you actually lose your connection? It could be that the update Windows is performing requires that it shut off the connection.
