    Motor Swap
    Hello everyone. I have a 2003 John Deere L 110 with a Blown 17.5 hp Kohler. I have a 15.5hp Briggs and Stratton (2005). What do I need to Know to make the swap? Bolt Patterns, Electrical etc. Thank You

    If you are going from a kohler to a briggs, it would be best to carry it to a shop. The kohler will have more wires than the briggs. You will also probably have to replace the pto pulley, or electric pto clutch, which ever one it has, then the belts probably will not work. Best bet would be to use another kohler.

    Pulleys and belts are the same but wiring will be different. Best to take to shop. Mowerman gives excellent advice. Respect his opinon.
