    92 Corolla water pump
I'm suspecting that my water pump is not long for this world and had a question. Everything that I've read so far about my Corolla is that the engine needs to be raised in order to have enough access to the pump. I was looking at it and couldn't decide if there was enough "give" to the AC lines coming off the compressor.

I understand how to actually change the pump once I can get to it, but am real uneasy about this part of the process. Any help would be much appreciated!

If you're careful, you can disconnect the compressor from the engine without taking the lines off. Access is difficult on this tight engine repair but it can be done.

I'm not familiar with your vehicle but sometimes removing the plastic fender liner helps. I changed the water pump on my 2000 Taurus, with the Duratec engine, two weeks ago and had to do this for access. When it's time to change the alternator, I will likely have to drop part of the sub-frame. FWD cars come with their own unique set of problems.
