How can I remove a paid judgment from my credit history
I had a judgment which has been paid. I have proof of payment and have mailed it to the three bureaus but they don't seem to care about my credit and they haven't even updated the balance. The amount its over 2,500 and it really has an effect on my credit scores... please tell me what to do to remove that judgment? Should I write them? If so, what should I tell them?

Send them copies of the satisifaction by certified mail. In the cover letter tell that if they don't correct your record within 30 days you will take legal action. Read up on the FDCPA to determine your rights.

    Hello y:

Or just challenge the validity of the judgment. They'll have to reinvestigate and they'll probably remove it that way - because, as you say, the information is incorrect.
