Braxton-Hicks Contractions too early?
Sorry this may be a little long so bare with me! I'm 23 1/2 weeks pregnant with my first. It started a couple weeks ago (21 weeks) with the first little contractions. I thought they were cute and fun. A few days ago they started getting a bit stronger. I would feel him move and then I feel like he was going to do a big turn or roll but my uterus just tightened up. It was contracting hard and just when that was happening my back would ache (crampy). Then when it would relax the back ache would turn into pain. I would have a couple a day. Today was the same thing but doubled it would happen even when he's not moving. I had several today. A couple in a hour. Are they happening too early? Some advice PLEASE! Any similar stories. First pregnancy here, so I'm new to the club.:p
THANK YOU!!

Go and see your dr as soon as you can. While it might be braxton hicks contractions you might also have something else going on. It's always better to be safe than sorry. This being your first pregnancy and not knowing what is in the normal scale of things it's always better to be over cautious than not.

Yes, you need to contact your doctor. I never had Braxton-Hicks with my pregnancy, but everyone is different. But you don't want to let it go on if something could be wrong. Most OBGYN offices have nurse's that you can talk to over the phone... they can take all your symtpoms and advice you what to do... they will most likely have you come in just to get checked out to make sure everything is okay :)

As the two above me have stated... Go to your doctor. While this may be BH Contractions, only your doctor can tell you for sure.
If it is not, then your doctor will have to stop your labor as it is way too early for Baby to survive out of the womb. 24 weeks is the earliest that baby is viable outside and it is still not promising that baby will be healthy if it comes this early.
Please contact your doctor ASAP.

I had false labor at 26 weeks and if have never been so uncomfortable. I did have to go to the hospital because they were regular however; they stopped as soon as I got into bed. I had been at a 12 hour shift on my feet. My doctor told me to lay on my left side every time they occur. They really can not do anything for the baby until 24-26 weeks. I think if you start going into real labor they can give you medication to stop it and put you on bed rest.

I had Braxton-Hicks with my first at 16 weeks and they stayed with me the whole pregnancy. I delivered at 34 weeks, but I had other issues. My second prenancy they started up at 24 weeks or so and stayed until I delivered at 36.
Talk to you doctor. I was told to drink more water and get off my feet.
