Broken chain swith for ceiling fan
The switch chain broke off my ceiling fan. I bought a new switch and don't know how to wire it. The broken switch has two black wires but the new switch has 1 black,1 blue and 1 red wire. The chain is for the light in my celing fan. Can you give my detailed instructions on how to wire this please?

You need a 2 wire pull switch, that one may be: Off, bulb(s)1, bulb(s)2, both, off, repeat.
I would get 2 wire switch.
