    Hot water in the shower
My shower has 1 hot/cold fixture. Bathroom 2 has separate hot & cold water fixtures.
When I turn on the shower in bathroom 2 it takes 1-2 minutes to get the water warm/hot. In bathroom 1 it may take over 5 minutes to get warm, it may take longer. Would the way the pipes (hot & cold) are joined be causing the heat delay?

Sometimes, it is the distance the water has to travel in the pipes to get to a location - plus, the water is losing heat as it travels down the longer distance... Can you access the water pipes to cover them with pipe insulation?

I had the same problem, and in the winter, my water never would get hot enough for a shower.. until I crawled under the house and put pipe insulation on all the pipes. Now my water in the shower gets hot in under a minute, and stays hot throughout the shower!
