Well the doctor called today and said that I wasn't pregnant :( He told me that now that we know I'm not, we can go from there and take some steps to help. I will see what happens in a couple of months I guess. It just makes me so sad sometimes!

So sorry to hear the bad news, but your doctor sounds optimistic, so don't lose hope. Just relax and enjoy the holidays and being with family and friends, then work with the doctor once your body has gained some strength, and you some mental rest. This has been stressful enough for you, and you need to recover from that too. Lots of luck and keep us posted, no matter what, we will be here for you.
Wishing you and yours happy holidays!

The links to the literature and other sites should have included these symptoms in them... they are normal during pregnancy. I had heartburn all the time and the only thing that helped get rid of it was eating chili every day, or pizza with ciane (sp) pepper on them. Everyone told me my baby was going to have a lot of hair - wrong, she was the typical 'georgia peach'. Just in case you missed the links, here are some good ones:
Check out the following sites, they will help you through this a little more to reassure if you are.

Dear, don't give up hope, your hormone values might not be that high yet to tell. I was five months PG and my blood test was negative, so anything is possible. Keep in touch with your doctor though, and don't stop asking questions until you are satisfied. And if you are not this time, the new modern technology should assist the doctor in helping you get the results you want sooner or later. Until then, don't stress yourself out and try to enjoy the holidays. Good luck and keep us posted.

Dear, I'm sorry about your disappointment. It is good listening to instincts in many issues, and yes, they and you know your body better than a doctor - but they can only work with what they have. If I were you, I'd change clinicians and when you go there, have all of your medical history possible, available on paper for him/her. This will reduce guessing and having to re-tell all that you should. Sit down and write down as much as you remember, as far back as possible, to include surgery, medications, symptoms, etc. This will provide the new doc with a better 'picture' of your physiology and he can take care of you according to this information.
The following site is free to sign onto, and gives you a lot of information to questions that might pop up and if your doctor does not have enough time to explain, you can peruse at your leisure.
Heavy clotting can be caused through many factors and a few are a high clotting factor to not enough fluid intake, even though this time of the year we don't get that thirsty, but the body needs at least to a 1/2 liters of water each day to prevent drying up, and also helps keep skin from going through the 'winter' changes.

Please by all means stay as relaxed as possible, and take care of your body so that it has a chance to take care of you. To me it sounds like you've taken the doctor's word too often without asking imperative questions - they are not gods. In these times, it's very important for each one of us to know our bodies and listen to the signals they send, so that the doctors take us seriously.
In the site above, check out the signs and symptoms of miscarriage and compare them to what you went through and follow the suggestions of what a patient should do.
I wish you all the best, and hope that your body recovers soon so that you can concentrate on starting a family again. But remember, after a trial like this, there need to be a recovery period. Bless you and all the best.
Happy Holidays!

Don't want to put your hopes up, but look at the links I suggested to you earlier, and you might find out that the symptoms you have might be implantation bleeding. Good luck, and see a doctor if you can't wait for the reassurance.
Happy Holidays to all!

Don't give up hope dear, but also try not to stress yourself out about it. Try and relax a little, and all things come to those who have patience. Get a good checkup and good luck.
Happy New Year!

Success!
I did it! I found out that I was pregnant just before Christmas. Bizarrely, it was my husband who persuaded me to do the test. I had stopped checking temp etc as I was convinced that I hadn't ovulated (did the tests for 10 days without a positive). Anyway, I got two positives (different makes) and went straight to the doctor. She confirmed it, and now I'm waiting to meet the midwife! My husband cried when he found out. I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hope that it works out for the rest of you guys VERY soon. It just goes to show that if you keep on trying, you might just do it! GOOD LUCK!
P.S. I now feel sick a lot

Me too!! Here I am, feeling nausous, almost vomitting, waking up in the morning fighting that, been irritable and then emotional and crying over stuff. My last period was sometime in the end of nov. I am very regular. I was with the guy I'm seeing, about 3weeks ago, (I remember this because next weekend will be almost a month since we have been intimate). So af should have been here around the end of the month sometime, so today I get this light pinkish reddish spotting, that starts very lightly with cramping and then went away and stopped for a few hours and then started up with brown spotting, just like at the very very end of your period when you use a very light pantyliner, the only way I can tell is by wiping when I'm in the bathroom. So now I'm not sure what to think, I don't have money to see a doctor, and I'm not sure when I should test, though I want to make sure I don't have to keep retesting so I don't have to spend a bunch of money. This is too confusing! So could I be pregnant?

To RoRo and Macawcrazy - CONGRATULATIONS!
Glad you were both blessed with this good news and wish you both the best in health and development of your new 'family' members.
I too received good news - going to be a grandma around August. It was the best Christmas present in my life to get this surprise.
Go to www.askdramy.com for a little insight and answers when your doctors are not available - it also helps on diet, exercise and has a forum. Wishing you both the best.

Testing
You should probably test in about a week. Also I would suggest looking up free clinics in your area. www.plannedparenthood.com is a good one and they can give you a clinic in your area. Your not without resources. By the way how old are you? Give us some details here so that we may better help you.
On another note. Congrats chery... merry christmas. I hope that everything with your upcoming status change flows smoothly and is healthy for the duration. Keep us posted everyone. Happy new year

I will be 35 on Monday, and have normal periods. This is weird for me. Planned parenthood said to test on Monday!
I'm still spotting, very lightly, and the nausea is insane, and I have little cramps in my abdomen, but it hurt really bad when I had to go the bathroom when I held it to long.

Dear Nikki, it sounds like common symptoms of the beginning of the first trimester, so please see your doctor and get a more accurate test done.
Check out the following sites, they will also give you some insight of what to look forward to if you are, and most have their own forum where you can ask a doctor for specific information.
Good Luck.

To erinlr..
Hello-It's been awhile since my last post but we have been busy Trying to conceive! So here is the update. My last AF was around the 8th of Nov. and it is now Jan 3. My cycles are usually irregular so I tried not to get my hopes up again this time. I have tested when I thought I was a week late and they were all negative so I choose to believe the tests this time. Now the past three nights I have waken up feeling extremely nauseaited. I have felt like I was going to start af several times but then the cramps just go away. The past couple days my bbs started getting sore and I have been getting light headed, having headaches, moody and inc. cm. Today I started very very light spotting-only seen on toilet paper mid afternoon and now it has even gotten lighter. Do you think this could be implantation and how long should I wait before I test again?
It does sound like it, but please remember the golden rule - when in doubt always see your doctor. Also check some of the sites on the other posts here to get better insight and reassurance. I certainly hope your efforts of Trying to conceive worked. By the way what does AF mean?? We call it LMP, (last menstrual period). At any rate, check the sites and see your doctor, and also keep us posted here on this thread. Good Luck.
