    Fat Lady+Yoga=Weight Loss?
I've heard that people have loads of weight doing yoga. Which I thought was weird because you're just doing stretces and such. Is this true? What's your experience with yoga? I'm planning on having a child in the near future. Is yoga a good way for pregnant women to stay in shape? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. ;)

Yoga is a good exercise for anyone, and esp pregnant women, to stretch and become more flexible. Weight is lost because muscles are toned as the yoga poses are done in a regular manner. Doing this will definitely help you look your best during pregnancy, will enable you to have an easier pregnancy, labor, and delivery, and will help you return to your pre-pregnancy shape.

That's great to hear... I was thinking of signing up at the YMCA. I don't want to be pre-pregnancy shape... cause I'm fat... I want to lose 50 pounds before I get pregnant... I want to lose it by next summer because that's when I'm getting married...

If you start now AND are careful what you put into your mouth (avoid sweets and eat lots of fruits and veggies, also lean meat like chicken and turkey), you will be a gorgeous bride. (You can't come home from yoga class and eat Hostess Cupcakes or chewy chocolate chip cookies and still lose weight... )

Hehe, AWW... thank you. Yeah, I know the whole dieting drill. I've been doing that forever. I just want some sort of exercise that I will be able to maintain during pregnancy and also some exercise that is kind of gentle to my back.

Take a yoga class to learn the poses. Do it at home too. You will become lean and mean and have a strong back.

Haha, that's not a bad idea... I mean, not karate... but something similar to help him lose weight. He's already gained some sympathy weight and I'm not even pregnant yet. :p
