    Creit card debt
Hi everyone I'm new here .
I have a friend who has a son on social security disability. He is unable to pay a credit card debt of 3,000 dollars. I had heard that a persons social security cannot be garnished.
Is there any truth to this?
    Thank you

What does that have to do with anything? Did he incur the debt? Then he owes it and is obligated to pay it. The fact that his only income may be social security only means thery can't garnish his income.'

P.S. Please don't post the same question in multiple places. I've merged the two threads.

    Hello Christihouse

Why not continue to pay the 100 dollars a month? Personally I think if he owes it he has a moral obligation to pay it. Why would he stop now?
