    Having trouble with the wires
    I have a hunter thermostat model 42999b I have a green wire and white wire blue wire yellow wire and orange wire my ac/heater unit is a carrier on the new hunter thermostat it has g,w,y,rh,rc some please help me so I can have some heat

    It sounds like you are trying to run a heat pump with a regular thermostat. It won't work. Go to the sticky at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/heatin...ons-58313.html

    Read the sections on do I have a heat pump and wire colors. If the Hunter thermostat doesn't have directions for a heat pump, take it back for one that does.
