    Can a collection company garnish money I deposit into my account from social security?

    First, its not good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's thread. This tends to cause confusion. So I moved your question to its own thread.

    Once the money is deposited its fair game. However if you can prove only SS money is in the account you can prevent garnishment.
