    Janitrol Series FEC-84 heating Furnace
    [F]I tried to start my furnace for the winter months and noticed that the Diaphram Valve will not let any gas flow threw. Cleaned it like the instuctions say and put it back and nothing.
    Help me Please
    In the parts Catalog its called Valve -Electric Gas.
    Were can I find this part this part? Or can I fix it?

    Are you sure that it is the gas valve that is keeping the gas from flowing through. I am not sure about your furnace but a lot of older furnaces had thermocouples, which is a safety device for the furnace. The way it works is that it is a by metal tube that goes from the pilot light up to the gas valve and when is it heated it creates a small amount of electricity, enough to create a electro magnet in the gas valve and when you push the button down to hold the pilot flame on the magnet will hold it down after the thermocouple gets hot enough. These burn out and have to be replaced.
    So if you will explain your problem a little better maybe some one can give you some help.
