These foods contain a substantial amount of potassium so if a food is not on this list it might be low in potassium. Dialysis patients have to keep their potassium low so you might want to check with a dialysis clinic and ask them if they have a pamphlet on potassium.

Many foods contain potassium. Milk, yogurt, nuts. All meats (red meat and chicken) and fish such as salmon, cod, flounder, and sardines, soy products and veggie burgers are also good sources of potassium.

Vegetables including broccoli, peas, lima beans, tomatoes, potatoes (especially their skins), sweet potatoes, and winter squashes are all good sources of potassium.

Fruits that contain significant sources of potassium include citrus fruits, cantaloupe, bananas, kiwi, prunes, and apricots. Dried apricots contain more potassium than fresh apricots.

Try Kidney disease and dialysis information - DaVita. Also, You probably know that almost all foods contain some potassium. But you still need to eat a variety of foods. Serving size is very important. Don't drink or use any liquids from canned fruits or veggies, or the juices from cooked meats. Try leaching veggies before using them so you can have some veggies in your diets, this will draw out a large portion of the potassium from them.
