    GE fridge pfs22misbbb
I need some help with GE fridge that has been operating questionably since I relocated to a new house. Model pfs22misbbb. The fridge is just slightly over one year old and off warranty.

Since I have moved the fridge has had a terrible time maintaining temperature both in the freezer and the fridge section. The current set pts. Are 0 for freezer and 37 for fridge as suggested by the manufacturer. I checked the gaskets all around the fridge and freezer for leaks and they seem to be good. The problem seems to be intermittent and makes the compressor run all the time when it falls out of set pt. I also noticed that when the ice machine is on it acts as a catalyst to make the temperature fall out of line. I can expect to get freezer temps around 8 just for turning on the ice machine in the bottom freezer. I have independently verified the temperatures with a thermometer and they are right on so I know the temperature readouts are true.

As an observation I have noticed that the side panels within the first inch or two of the freezer door are really hot. It is only around the freezer door and not the fridge doors.

My only two guesses as a novice are that the compressor is low on freon or the control board is out of wack.

The hot area is the yoder loop used for condesation control. First thing I would do is to check the coils and fan motor at the rear bottom side of the unit for dirt, lint etc. Clean it thouroghly. Next check the evaporator for ice or heavy frost build up

A while back I asked why my 1yo Kitchenaid side by side top of the line was too cold. It makes shush out of the soda's. It's 28.5* right now on the top shelf of the fridge side. This is on warmer setting. I had a man out and he spent an hour of diagnosis and came up with a bad blend door motor. I...
